It's always a privilege to be asked to photograph a family. I love capturing special moments of togetherness that will be cherished over the years to come. This shoot was no exception, in fact, I felt very honoured to be asked to capture this beautiful little girl at her home and local park in Twickenham.
Hannah was born with a cleft palate and since her birth had to have a breathing and feeding tube. In November last year, she was able to have the tubes removed for one week to see how she was able to get on without them. It was such a special moment - the first time in her 7 months of life without them.
Hannah was a dream to photograph, she was so gentle natured and happy to smile for the camera.
I really enjoyed playing with her and getting to know her and her parents over the session.
These photographs really capture a special moment in time for her family. A week later she had to have the tubes reinserted so we really couldn't have timed it better. I'm happy to say that following successful surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital in February of this year she was able to have the tubes removed permanently.
